A loose alliance of towns, just north of the Battlemoor, is known as “the Vale” and it is ruled by the Jarl, Trigva Hammarsfall. The Vale is known in the area for their sheep farming and the wool that they produce.
Karlskross is a remote village with only a few game trails and small footpaths existing to this isolated town. The village is controlled by a small group of Rangers who go by the name “Order of the Arrow”. These Rangers are said to guard something very important in the area and that is why Karlskross exists.
Over the past few months, after the 2nd Battle of the Battlemoor, stragglers from both sides of the conflict have found refuge in Karlskross. Work can be found hunting and trapping in the area and by building new log homes in the village. As long as you are willing to help out, you are allowed to stay.
After the 2nd Battle of the Battlemoor and the rise of the demon Baal, the undead mists have come and consumed all of the Vale. Only the dead roam here now.
