At the height of the Elven nation of Nedoreth, there were three primary factions that ruled the kingdom.
Traditionalists – The Verdant Circle: Leader – Elenia Moonshadow
The Verdant Circle is a group of elves dedicated to preserving the ancient traditions and harmonious relationship with nature that their ancestors established. Led by the wise and venerable Lady Elenia Moonshadow, the Verdant Circle believes that the elves’ strength lies in their connection to the natural world and that forsaking these traditions for technological advancement will lead to their downfall. They advocate for sustainable living, reverence for sacred sites, and cooperation with the forest spirits.
Progressives – The Luminary Assembly: Leader – Galen Sunforge
The Luminary Assembly is a faction of elves who embrace innovation and progress, believing that the key to the elves’ survival and prosperity lies in their ability to adapt and evolve. Led by the charismatic and ambitious Lord Galen Sunforge, the Luminary Assembly seeks to harness the power of technology and magic to propel the elven nation into a new era of greatness. They advocate for the expansion of infrastructure, exploration of new magical techniques, and the centralization of power in institutions like the Sun Spire.
Moderates – Harmony Coalition: Leader – Unknown at this time
The Harmony Accord is a coalition of elves who advocate for balance and cooperation between the traditionalist values of the Verdant Circle and the progressive ideals of the Luminary Assembly. Recognizing the importance of both preserving the ancient ways and embracing innovation, the Harmony Accord seeks to find common ground and foster harmony within elven society.
Elarian
The original forest or treefolk of the Loth Ennorath forest. When they came to the forest and who they are is a mystery. At first they allied with the Elves and gifted them Eldralith, the Heart of the Forest, as a throne. Over time they grew disillusioned by the progress towards stone and civilization by the elves. They eventually were tricked by the Archmage Saerix into helping corrupt the elven ritual that blackened and twisted the Heartstone turning all of the Elarian into twisted forms of their former selves.
