DhanKanath

Until recently, the Kingdom of DhanKanath, Land of the Dragonking, had been ruled by King Charles Karnorian for the greater part of 60 years. In the past two years, the King has gone missing and the Kingdom has fallen under the rule of the King’s High Chancellor, Dracanas.

The Kings of DhanKanath have always been known as the Dragonking and they rule from the Dragon Throne in the city of Jandusar, a port city on the Sea of Sails.  The Kingdom is known for their acceptance of the Dragonborn race, who are seen as great warriors and treated as first class citizens.  The Kingdom’s most feared troops are the fierce Dragonborn warriors called the Kith-Kafar.  The Kingdom is comprised of 5 Marches, each ruled by a March Warden.  Individual towns are governed by Wardens who are also part of the Kingdoms nobility.  The Kingdom of Camora lies to the East of DhanKanath and the Duchy of Torandros lies to the West and South.

March of Norgaard

The March of Norgaard lies to the northwest of the capital city of Jandusar and is the only March that lies north of the Blackstone Mountains.  The fortress citadel of Norgaard lies within the pass that guards the travels between the single northern March and the four southern Marches.  All of the towns in each March owe their fealty to their March Warden and in times of crisis, militias from these towns and cities serve under the March Warden’s banner.

Coinage

The coinage in DhanKanath mostly follows the standards of other realms.  The lowest form of coinage is a copper coin called “the crown”.  This round copper coin is stamped with the profile of the King’s likeness.  20 coppers make the triangle shaped silver “Talon” and 20 silver Talons make the round golden “Dragon”.   Ten Dragons then make up the square platinum “Scale”.

Religion

Throughout the lands of DhanKanath the people worship the Elemental Gods.  There are 6 primary Elemental Gods who are known as the Illenaer and 6 minor Elemental Gods known as the Vashtaur.  Recently there has been a rise of the worship of the God Kor who is of the likeness of the first two First Born races, the Valmarans and Dragons.  The red priests of Kor are now in most towns and cities in the realm.
